Pressure Cooker Seals

Pressure cookers cook food gently and quickly under pressure. To enable this, they are equipped with a lid using patented technology that allows safe pressure buildup. The lids of Fissler pressure cookers include several components:

the Fissler traffic light control valve (Vitavit® Premium) for convenient pressure regulation
the specially designed sealing ring inside the lid
the ergonomic Fissler safety handle with locking indicator

How to Clean the Pressure Cooker Gaskets

Fissler gaskets are not dishwasher-safe. First, remove the valve and then the gasket to clean them by hand using a soft dishcloth. After cleaning, ensure the valve gasket is seated correctly in the designated groove and fits tightly against the control valve. Refer to the instruction manual for assembly guidance.
