Multi-level Cooking

Multi-level Cooking

With the help of an insert, Fissler pressure cookers with a minimum size of 6.3 quart can also be used for "multi-level cooking". When cooking on several levels, all ingredients are cooked simultaneously in the same pressure cooker. In this way, wholesome, healthy meals are created in just one pot and using just one stovetop in the shortest possible time. All ingredients with the same or similar cooking time can be combined; meat with the corresponding vegetable garnish is best suited.

Here's how it works:

1. Sear the meat

Meat is first seared briefly in a pressure cooker to keep it nice and juicy. Then a little broth or other liquid is added, and herbs or spices can be added.

2. Add side dishes

The side dishes, such as vegetables, are cleaned, cut into even pieces, and placed in the special perforated insert of the pressure cooker. The accompanying trivet is placed on the bottom of the pot and the insert is placed on top of it.

3. Close the lid

Now close the lid. Thanks to the attachment aid and an acoustic and visual signal, this is very easy to do.

4. Steaming

When the cooking time is up, the steam must be released before the pressure cooker can be opened.

5. Remove the insert

First, remove the insert from the open pressure cooker. Thanks to the handle, which curves slightly inward in the middle, this is particularly easy to do with a tablespoon. Since the handle can only be moved in one direction, there is no risk of it swaying back and forth while you are lifting it out. Then remove the trivet from the pot and finally take out the meat.
