Steaming, also called steam cooking, involves cooking ingredients in water vapor at temperatures of up to 212 °F. This gentle method preserves the natural flavor of the food as well as vitamins, minerals, and color.

Fissler Original-Profi Collection® Steaming Insert for Cooking or Roasting Pots

The perforated insert fits precisely onto the cooking and roasting pots. The pot lid fits perfectly on top of the insert to retain rising steam. Steam from the boiling liquid passes through the holes in the insert to the food, condenses on the lid (with Condensate Plus function), and then drips back down to gently coat the food.

Condensate Plus function

The lids of Fissler cooking and roasting pots feature the Condensate Plus function, which allows steam to condense on the lid and drip back down onto the food. This results in juicier, more flavorful dishes.

The steaming insert is available in 7.9 inch, 9.4 inch, and 11 inch sizes. It fits perfectly into the cooking or roasting pots of the Original-Profi Collection® in the corresponding sizes.
