Precisely Fitting Stainless Steel and Tempered Glass Lids

Fissler offers replacement lids for pots in various materials. For example, you can choose between metal lids and glass lids. Both types impress with excellent craftsmanship and precise fit. Their practical advantages make them perfect for replacing old or lost lids with a long-lasting solution.

Fissler metal lids are made from up to 90% recycled 18/10 stainless steel and are primarily produced in Germany. They are highly durable, easy to clean, and oven-safe up to 450°F. The stainless steel lids from the Original-Profi Collection® feature the Condensate Plus function, which lets you cook ingredients in their own juices or with reduced added liquid – resulting in juicier, more flavorful dishes without watering them down.

Fissler glass lids are made of tempered glass that is impact-resistant and tolerant of gradual thermal changes up to 356°F. They allow for convenient viewing while cooking, without aroma or energy loss. They also feature a high-quality stainless steel rim with an integrated silicone gasket that prevents water infiltration or stress on the glass when heated.

Did you know? Pot lids prevent steam from escaping during cooking. By keeping the heat inside the pot, food cooks faster – saving both time and valuable energy. Whenever possible, Fissler recommends cooking with the lid on.

Steam Insert

With the help of this practical accessory for your pots, you can prepare a wide variety of dishes. A steam insert allows you to gently steam vegetables, fish, and dough-based foods like dumplings safely and easily. This method of preparation is especially gentle, preserving the natural flavor of the ingredients while retaining most vitamins, minerals, and colors.

How steaming works: The perforated insert allows steam to rise from the boiling liquid in the pot through the holes to the food above. The hot steam collects on the lid and drips back down, evenly moistening the food on its way back into the boiling water.
